Grandma baked 39 cookies. Tom ate 7 of them. Grandma kept 5 for herself. Grandma gave Tom the rest of the cookies to take home with him. How many did Tom take home.
I am learning to subtract and add. I found it tricky to draw 39 little circles. I am proud of that I finished a problem really quickly that was all subtraction. Next I will do more subtraction problems but harder.

I think it is wonderful that you have used drawing the problem out, to help you understand what is going on in the story and have used it to help you solve the problem. Keep up the great effort Atharv.
